Home In Scottsdale - You Might Be Surprised!

For many a home in Scottsdale is a dream come true. You might be surprised how many celebrities already have a home, or second home in Scottsdale. Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Anniston, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson are among them.

The first step in finding your new home in Scottsdale is to decide what absolutely you must have in a new home, and what you would like but can live without. Many potential buyers make two lists of just that. You might need three bedrooms . . . but a fourth would be nice.

If the home doesn’t have a big backyard is that a deal breaker or something you can deal with? Be honest about what your families needs are, a home is a big investment.

Next you might want to get your credit in order. You should be doing this as soon as you realize it’s time to look for a home in Scottsdale. At your bank or online you can request a copy of your credit report and credit score.

You may even be able to get the report and score for free! Look over the report carefully and note any mistakes. Believe it or not mistakes happen often enough that many money experts recommend checking your report yearly even if you are not thinking of buying a home in Scottsdale.

If you find a mistake request that it be removed or amended in writing and send any information you have about the bad debt to the credit reporting agency. You want to do this as soon as possible since it can sometimes take months before your report will update and the new information is reflected.

Once your credit is in order and you know what kind of home in Scottsdale you’re looking for it’s time to get pre-approved for a loan. You may choose to stick with the bank where you already keep your savings and checking account as your lender.

The internet also offers a wealth of lenders competing for your business. Taking your time shopping around for the best mortgage can’t be stressed enough. Even the smallest increment in your rate can add up into a large amount over the years.

Getting pre-approved will greatly speed up the home buying process once you find the home in Scottsdale of your dreams. It will also give you a guideline of what you can afford in a house that will help you narrow your search criteria.

Once your pre-approval has gone through you will need to find a real estate agent to work with. Interview many agents, you might be surprised how different they all are. Ask each realtor how long they have been a licensed real estate agent.

Feel free to ask them for referrals from former clients. Most importantly you should go with the agent you feel comfortable with. The home buying process can often times be stressful, you will feel much better if you are being guided by a realtor you feel you can rely on.
