The laws of Arizona do not allow any course work to be completed online or through and online university to be counted towards your Arizona real estate license.

You can become more then just a Phoenix real estate broker if you go through an Arizona real state school. Most schools offer many different courses and certificate and licensing programs in all kinds of real estate based careers.

You could become a property manager, a home inspector, appraisal licensing, and even general contracting.

Once you have done your 90 hours of coursework towards becoming a real estate broker, and any other requirements your particular school might have you are eligible to take the state licensing exam. The exam is offered 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, and generally costs about $90.

It is offered in three convenient locations- Mesa, Phoenix and Tempe. You must pass the exam with a 75% or higher to get licensed. Once you pass the exam you must apply for your state license which costs a little over a hundred dollars. Some people have been able to get their license the same day they take and pass the state licensing exam!

Most schools that help people become a broker also offer job placement assistance. With the high demand for real estate in the Phoenix area, you should have no trouble finding an agency looking for a new Phoenix real estate broker.
